Dan Rubin
Dan is a highly accomplished user interface designer and usability consultant, with over ten years of experience designing and developing interactive user interfaces. He has developed and implemented UI’s for clients ranging from large corporations to small non-profits. Dan is an expert in User Interface Design, Information Architecture, User Experience, Typography and an excellent Copy and Technical Editor. Since founding his studio in 1995, Dan has specialized in brand-centric design for print and the web, including brand and identity development, e-commerce systems, and kiosk design and implementation. Clients include Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Geffen/Universal Media, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, and many more.
Dan is a leading designer and developer in the fields of web standards and usability, specifically focusing on the use of web standards (XHTML and CSS) to streamline development and increase flexibility and accessibility. His contributions to the web community have been published online and in print, including The Zen of CSS Design (New Riders, 2005), The Principals of Beautiful Web Design (Sitepoint, 2007) and MacPeople Magazine (Japan’s largest circulation computer publication), and he co-authored Pro CSS Techniques (Apress, 2006) and Web Standards Creativity (friends of ED, 2007), and was a contributing author to the 2nd Edition of Cascading Style Sheets: Separating Content from Presentation (Apress, 2004).
