Jennifer George-Palilonis
Jennifer is the journalism sequence coordinator at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. There she serves as the design adviser to the award-winning student newspaper, The Ball State Daily News. She is also the faculty adviser for the student chapter of the Society for News Design, as well as teaching the upper-level design and graphic courses.
Jennifer was formerly the deputy design editor for the Chicago Sun-Times and a news designer and business art director for the Detroit Free Press. She has been a freelance design consultant for three years and has redesigned several small newspapers, including The Evangelist of Albany, N.Y., Today’s Catholic of Fort Wayne, Ind., and the BG News of Bowling Green State Univeristy and has done numerous design and creativity training workshops at universities, small newspapers and conventions. Jennifer is a graduate from Ball State University and has taught at The International Academy for Merchandising and Design in Chicago and at Wayne State University in Detroit.
